Do what you have yet to do and win 3 straight!

I just realized that Acuna is having a very slow start to the season. Obviously, he is always scary and a huge threat. Maybe we will get lucky though and he will stay tepid until he leaves Houston. Acuna: .273 AVG, 0 HRs, 5 RBIs, 7 SBs

We're going to need to hit, because I just don't see Arrighetti doing much better than 4 ER in 5 innings...

We're going to need to hit, because I just don't see Arrighetti doing much better than 4 ER in 5 innings... Unfortunately, today's Braves pitcher is an unheralded 7th round rookie with a 90 MPH fastball and low strikeout rates. You know what that means; Astros hitters getting dominated.

Continuing to jerk Meyers around after promising him a real starting job. It's not like he's exactly doing amazing. It's been two weeks! The whole idea was "we like him, we believe in him, he's healthy, he's going to get a real shot, we're going to let him play so he can get comfortable and not worry about getting sent back to the bench" and so on. Now we're a couple weeks in and he's riding the pine half the time again. They lied, plain and simple. They propped him up as a guy they felt so confident in that they didn't need to go get another outfielder. And now here we are again with Dubon out there on the regular.

Bro, we know Crane lied about liking Meyers. It’s not a secret.

It's not a couple weeks though. It's multiple partial seasons... The vast majority of which he was a part time guy or injured or trying to return from injury. They still have never given him a long, consistent chance, and they promised they would this time. They said he was the guy, and they've gone back on that almost immediately, plus they did nothing in free agency to cover for it. Now it's more Dubon. Just more mismanagement from this team.

Not that he'll keep it up, but Altuve is on pace for like 250 hits this year. Crazy start. Career-best walk rate and lowest K rate since 2017, too.

This would have been a big inning if not for a 108mph gidp....
Good to see from Bregman.

Despite that, despite the injuries and everything else, he's put up 2.9 WAR in in 702 PA. That already a value level that makes him a decent everyday player. And he's posting an above-average wRC+ this year when they actually let him play! What do they want exactly? Does he have to hit .300 before they actually give him the job like they promised?

Arrighetti seems like a head case. If I were rushed to the Majors and in my second start and my defense was making errors behind me and I had a 12-pitch AB against that freak Acuna, I'd probably be a little rattled too...

Abreu sucks on defense, but let’s not ignore that Peña’s throw was hot dookie.

He's 24 years old... Guys develop at different speeds, and he's had some injuries. He only has about 250 IP total at all levels. He probably could have used another 1-2 months in AAA.

He's settling down now. Might get thru 5. Nah. He could if they'd let him. Doubt they will, though, due to pitch count + lot of stress in the 2nd.

When will our coaches very get disciplined about our terrible base running habits?

Getting dominated by the 90-MPH rookie, and TOOTBLANs to top it off...

B/C Pena caught on the base paths, while Abreu is up to bat, Abreu is up AB next inning?
