Don't give up hope. We're still looking better overall. This was a game that could have gone either way. That, and the bad luck loss to Cleveland, and we've only really looked bad in one game since before Mexico, and that was yesterday. Yordan will wake up from this slump and Bregman will improve. The starting pitching is finally stabilizing overall and the bullpen will follow. Son, almost every one of their losses could’ve gone the other way. They're just bad.

Off the top wasn't the 05 team 15-30 when they were tombstoned. This season seems that they are digging the deficiet to the point of not getting back. I remember the 2016 team, the bullpen got it together and we finished a few games shy. We seem behind schedule on that Going into this season with the big three who would have ever thought this would be the results so far.

Josh Hader allowed 8 earned runs in all of 2023. He's allowed 10 already this year.
Optimism: .400 BAbip (career .255), 25% HR/FB ratio (13.2% career), 54.9% strand rate (82.5% career) are just bonkers. He actually has a 2.08 xFIP, second best in his career! It just can't last...right?

Same deal with Pressly BTW: .459 BAbip against .294 career. He's posting a career-best 13.83 K/9 rate. His 2.10 xFIP is also a career best.
Bryan Abreu, on the other hand, has problems. His walk rate has imploded and he needs to fix himself somehow.

Second pitch, ballgame.
