We can still turn this around with a couple wins in these last two games.
Since arriving in Mexico we're 5-4. A couple wins this series and we would be 7-4 (including 5-4 against three 1st place teams in a row).
Trying to stay positive....

Ash, any top 5 2025 draft prospects we should be really excited about? Ones the Astros could hopefully draft, so this horrible, wretched, underperforming team can have a possible promising future in about 4 to 5 years?

One positive: the young guys contributed to a two-run single yesterday. Veterans, take note.

The one thing I'm getting tired of hearing is the laundry list of ex-coaches/players that are now missing from the team that is the problem:
Strom: Strom has been gone a while. We've won a WS after he left. Correa: See Strom. Luhnow: Gone even longer. Hinch: See Luhnow. Springer: See Strom. Baker: We were successful before he got here. Maldonado: See Baker. Click: See Strom. Brantley: See Baker.
It's not a lack of leadership or any particular person missing that was some type of "secret sauce" to our success. The bottom line is lack of offensive execution by several veterans coupled with the starting pitching injuries and poor bullpen performance has gotten us to where we are. It may or may not get better, but it's not like adding one of those above players or coaches would magically fix this team.

I think they need to focus on why the offense has sputtered since last season. At least last year, they had a cushion of several wins, which isn’t the case this year.

We had a Team OPS+ of 111 and were 5th in Runs Scored. We sputtered AT HOME. Which was a fluke. And it isn't the case this year. We've been great at home overall....just wildly inconsistent. If I was going to blame something in general it would be the lack of mental preparation for our opponents. Scouting reports aren't being used as wisely, there's no apparent strategies in play, etc.

the veterans can and will play better but that won't be enough. This team lacks the youthful enthusiasm that our past teams had. Nobody is ever really excited it seems.

With Dubon and Singleton in at number 4 and 5 in todays lineup I’m calling this another loss. This Espeda guy needs to be booked a one way flight out of Houston through Expedia

This Espeda guy needs to be booked a one way flight out of Houston through Expedia HF, just when I think they can’t be any dumber. Look everyone , even if they pull out a win tonight , not likely, the Astros have blessed all of us with a run for the ages. Thank you, thank you Houston Astros. ,

Bregman = warning track power. He needs the Crawford boxes to be successful.

Should be 1-1 but our infielders can’t stop a nosebleed.

I really need to know how this keeps happening? Man the starting pitching is just god awful. Yes, thank you for the correction but my point is still the same. Our lineup has either become that bad (which I don’t believe) or Espeda has no patience with our veterans.

Man. Meyers, Altuve, and Tucker fail.
Especially Meyers and Jose. Just absolute garbage performances all around by this team.

Oof. This team is bad right now. Runners 1st and 3rd with 1 out. Top of the lineup. Can’t even push one run across.

Runner at third and 1 out for this offense might as well be no one on.

Oof. This team is bad right now. Runners 1st and 3rd with 1 out. Rope of the lineup. Can’t even push one run across. Altuve has been pretty unreliable in these situations.
