There are good hitters in this lineup but it ain’t going to work with everyone slumping outside of Tucker. Altuve, Bregman, Yordan, Diaz need to get hot.

Bregman batting .190. Boy is he hurting his chance at getting that big FA deal he wants.

Also, they don’t seem interested in resigning Tucker so they should trade him while he still has a year left and his value is high. He is the only one performing and could probably net 2-3 really good prospects.

Another run on third, 1 out. Did not score. It’s uncanny how often they avoid RBI’s.

Well maybe we at least found our new cleanup hitter. 3 hits for Pena in the new spot.

I gotta tell you guys, I purposely haven't watched the last two games. It's the first time I purposely, willfully did not watch Astros games that I could have since...as far back as I can remember. I've come to realize that my anger and frustration is being replaced by apathy. I've given up and I kind of no longer care. I wonder how many other fans out there are experiencing this. Frustration is one thing, but apathy is dangerous. If people stop caring, they will start losing money. They need to quickly make a decision; I would actually start caring more if they were willing to make some bold moves and admit this season is lost and start looking forward to 2025, and use those moves as a way to send a message to those players who will remain. But I think they'll be content to keep fooling themselves into thinking things will turn around and try to milk as much revenue as they can. And I have better things to do with my time than watch that happen. Sad.

I don’t care what the stats say. An offense that can’t score, especially in close games, is a bad offense.

And I have better things to do with my time than watch that happen. Sad. I have been feeling this way since before the season started. Looking at how the team was constructed has bothered me for the last two years. They have made some errors but you can not always make the right calls on personnel because people are people and their motivations change. It is time to trade everyone who brings value back but a select few and sign them long term. The ones that they should keep are the professionals who have internal drive and discipline and who could be great role models for the next batch of rookies. We could easily get 5-6 highly rated prospects back in trades for some of our high priced veterans and then fill out the roster with some free agents this off season to round out the roster and become competitive again next year. The only thing good coming from this year will be prospects that come back from the trades that will eventually start to get made. I kind of think that is why Brown was brought in here in the first place.

I'm not sure what to think, other than this season is the first I've noticed we've got several players earning hefty salaries for minimal contribution (McCullers, Hader, Abreu, Bregman). Maybe it's discouraging team morale
