Skubal is having a really good start to the season for the Tigers. In limited at bats, both Jose and Pena have a HR against him.

Basically the Astros can’t afford another series being swept. They need to win a vast majority of series until the EOS.

Hopefully the Astros continue They’re winning ways today! That said, I bet huge on Detroit on the first five innings money line. So hopefully it’s one to nothing after five innings. Then the Astros win two to one after nine that way I’m a little richer and the Astros are a little more competitive in our wild wild, American League West!

This blowup was just a matter of time. Since 2022, Javier has lost 1.5 MPH on his fastball (his only plus pitch) and his walk and strikeout rates have tanked. He has gone from 11.7 K per nine in 2022 to just 6.6 this year. Literally almost cut in half. And he's walking guys. He's a totally different pitcher right now. I wouldn't even use him in the rotation until he can show that he's sorted things out in the bullpen.
