Back on the road where we’ve struggled. We really need to take advantage against a team with a .260 winning percentage and sweep them. Got to get a sweep!

This team is really going through it this year with the injuries and absences from the lineup. Yordan is not playing tonight. He is away from the team due to a family emergency.
Altuve 2B, Pena SS, Bregman 3B, Diaz DH, Singleton 1B, Dubón LF, Caratini C, Meyers CF, Cabbage RF

I just happened to come across this, but it's interesting how eerily similar Altuve's and Mattingly's stats were/are.
Mattingly had a 14-year career, and Altuve is in his 14th season now:
Altuve: .307/.363/.470 .833 OPS 129 OPS+ 220 HR 1104 Runs 414 Doubles 20 Individual Awards + Batting Titles
Mattingly: .307/.358/.471 .830 OPS 127 OPS+ 222 HR 1007 Runs 442 Doubles 20 Individual Awards + Batting Titles
Obviously Altuve has had more postseason success and better running numbers, but pretty equal performances to this part in Altuve's career.

Gonna need to be patient with this pitcher. Make him throw pitches and don’t chase that sweeper.

Getting out of that only giving up one run feels like a win.

Here we go. Framber’s melt down of the night. And that is why I don’t want to extend him. If Astros remain out of the contention before the trade deadline, trade him

That was a bad steal attempt losing a 3-1 count... There was no DP risk at that point.

At what point do they give up and sell? Because I mean "get shut out by the White Sox" seems kind of like rock bottom.

Lost 2-0? It’s not even worth fretting about anymore. They’re simply bad. They can lose a series to any team now.

At what point do they give up and sell? Because I mean "get shut out by the White Sox" seems kind of like rock bottom. I know this stuff is hard to watch and follow after all the success of the last few years but this is what we got. There will come a point where hands will get thrown up and the folks calling the shots will say its time to move on and I think that will be in the not to distant future. At that point they can trade Framber, Verlander, Bregman, Tucker, Presley and get as many high end prospects as they can. Then next year we can sign a few free agents and let all the new talent fill in around the edges and start to watch a team that plays with passion and desire again instead of a bunch of fat dumb and happy guys resting on their laurels. At least for now we can hope for that.
