He was like a less robotic version of Travis. Travis was just like Doug although maybe a little more confrontational at times. Speaking of confrontational, where is astrohop? Hop didn't post all last season, he was one of the original's. Something must have happened, because I can't imagine him missing last season being such a die hard. |

Hop never got over moving to the softball beer league .. aka junior circuit. He derided it constantly, and I'm not so sure he even roots for the team anymore to be honest [br Yeah none of us liked it. Still, DH baseball is better than no baseball. Soon the National league will have the DH. I don't like it but there is nothing we can do about it. |

There is no such thing as a game purist anymore. No true game purist could accept 90% of today's game. Baseball in the modern era is completely different from the original game.

Maybe, it's more of a point of reference. Think about it. Between my early fandom (circa 1965) to the later '70's, the only "impactish" change to the game was mound height.
Nowadays the clowns in the COB office (and owners too) want to turn our game into a bat and ball version of the NBA. And I think it sucks.

I'm happy skygodz is not here. Otherwise we'd hear all year long how the Rangers are only 20 games behind but they are making their move. Oh and how Houston getting Realmuto will happen any day now.
