Best I can tell the last time Tucker played RF was June 5. Yeah Straw has a very healthy OBP apparently. If he can play good defense and figure out how to get on base then he's an upgrade over Marisnick.

Hader just lost a hold in the 8th against the Cubs Just turned on the Cubs-Brewers game, Matt Albers is still in Baseball pitching for the Brew. Albers had two stints with us if I'm not mistaken

Who do we get for the OF if we get rid of Marisnick? Do we have a good young OFer (at least defensively) that we can replace him with right now? White is not the answer for the OF... Just thinking out loud here... Tucker might be an option to replace Marsinick by the postseason but the young man still has to be tested at the MLB level. While White might replace Marwin, certainly no way he could do Marisnick's defensive job. Ferguson has done well at AAA but the scouts seem to think his stuff would not translate to MLB success. Maybe they're wrong. Then there's Jon Kemmer, who stumbled out of the starting gate this year but has seemed to pick things up recently. Kemmer has had a great minor league career overall. Besides the internal options, some of the people who have been mentioned on the board before include: Matt Holliday, LF: .231/.316/.432 (94 OPS+) -- FA; still no 2018 job I know of Nick Markakis, ATL RF -- probably not an option given Braves are contenders this year Nicholas Castellanos, DET RF (contract expires after 2019 season; 106 career OPS+ and running 130 OPS+ this year) Denard Span - already signed by Mariners Charlie Blackmon - 3.5 years left on contract with COL; would cost a fortune but COL is 4th place in their division so maybe they would trade A.J. Pollock, ARI CF - out with fractured thumb, probably till around All Star Game Additional options include: dare I say, Teo Hernandez, TOR? 128 OPS+ this year and solid 2017 season with Blue Jays as well) Jorge Soler (104 OPS+ career; 127 OPS+ this year with KCR; a long-shot with 4.5 years left on contract) Gorkys Hernandez (SFG OF, largely a bench player -- having a good year this year though lackluster career) Curtis Granderson (TOR, having a great year in limited playing time; would be a rental. Blue Jays have no hope this year so why not trade him.) Derek Dietrich (MIA LF, limited defense but a good hitter and at age 28 they may think he'll be toast by the time they are contenders. 3.5 years left contract.)

Of the guys I just mentioned, I'd hope Luhnow gives special attention to Castellanos, Teo, and Granderson.
If Teo comes back to the team, Altuve better remember to stop running into him in the outfield.

Tucker only hitting .277 at Fresno with 53 K's in 231 AB's. Can't see him coming up to MLB with those stats. Not soon anyway.

Tucker only hitting .277 at Fresno with 53 K's in 231 AB's. Can't see him coming up to MLB with those stats. Not soon anyway. Tucker’s .277 BA is right in line with his milb career .273 BA. I think a annual BA of .270-.280 is about what can be expected of him. His 53 Ks in 231 ABs works out to one K every 4.36 ABs. I think that is about what can be expected of him. In 2016 Tucker was hitting .276 at Full Season A Quad Cities with 75 Ks in 373 ABs (one K every 4.97 ABs) when he got promoted to A Advanced. In 2017 Tucker was hitting .288 at A Advanced Buies Creek with 45 Ks in 177 ABs (one K every 3.93 ABs) when he got promoted to AA. In 2017 Tucker hit .265 at AA with 64 Ks in 287 ABs (one K every 4.48 ABs) and was promoted to AAA to start the 2018 season. Considering his past record, if Tucker can’t get called up to mlb with a .277 +/- batting average and one strikeout every 4.36 +/- at-bats at AAA, he is not likely to ever get called up.

For what it's worth, a couple of one run wins and we're back to only 5 games behind Pythagorean projections.

I see Correa and McCann are starting and they left Kemp in. No Marisnick.

Nice to see Correa back but it’s also nice we won all 4 in Arlington without him.

Mengden has good stats overall in 2018. Had a rough outing last time against Texas, but pitched a CG 2 hitter vs. Arizona 3 starts ago.
