We have terrible numbers against Harris (2 Runs in 14 Innings), but he's also been incredibly lucky this year. Meanwhile Oakland's offense has been very good recently. Hopefully Arrighetti can duplicate his last start against the Rangers. We basically have a 67% chance that Arrighetti will be solid-to-good and give up 3 or less earned runs.... He's pitched to a 4.10 ERA since the 1 inning blowout against Detroit.
We really need Altuve and Bregman to get hot again in front of Yordan and Yainer.

Why would we not want to make that Trevor Bauer rumor true? If he’s even 80% of what he was we are much better than we are now. Sign him!

To say writing him off is premature is an understatement. Diaz, on the other hand, has been a dumpster fire since leaving Houston, and even with us he was a below-average hitter post-2019. When we picked him up I assumed it was a pure depth move. The fact that he's immediately brought up and then takes a start from someone actually producing something just seems asinine to me. We're basically tied with Seattle. I'm of the mind to put the best lineup we can out there every night.

I'm of the mind to put the best lineup we can out there every night. Kessinger has had 55 ABs in the majors and has been absolutely terrible. He was garbage in the minor leagues. He was mediocre at best in college. He's here because of his name. Diaz at least has had some success in the majors. And his terrible offensive line since leaving us is still far better than what Kessinger has given us. That being said, Diaz shouldn't start often. I'm sure this is just to try and warm him up some against a team we should have no issues beating.

That's what I get for saying Diaz is better than Kessinger....
P.S. Demote Chas.

I’m all about the bunt but wtf was Dubón thinking doing that with Aledmys and Chas due up afterwards?

Altuve has forgotten that he doesn't have to swing at bad pitches. The semi patient approach he has sometimes used the last couple years is totally gone.

If Arrighetti is in our rotation, our pitching isn't good enough to be a contender.

I wonder if Terry Puhl and Bill Spiers can come out of retirement and replace A Diaz and Pepper (McCormick) until Tucker comes back. Couldn’t be much worse.

Can our offense just go off for a change? Not this lineup. Need Tucker and trade for a bat. Our lineup is just as our record is right now. Mediocre.

Chas isn't MLB-caliber now, Altuve hasn't hit a ball hard since before the all-star break, Bregman has lost all his power, Our best hitting OFer has an OPS barely over .700, we have below-average production at 1B...
We're also pitching with a 3-man rotation and two AAA pitchers.
