I just talked to my friend who has a source with the Astros.
Bregman wants to fight with the IDF in the offseason and he was doing some kind of military drills training on his off day and hurt his arm that way.

Altuve is crushing the ball but to the wrong part of the field... 100 and 104mph on his flyouts. Good to see the hard contact though.

Did anyone else see the Article on Alverez? Talking about most feared hitter. They have him #5 behind Trout and three others I don't think it was any of the current players. With an OPS+ of 165 through age 27. He has been charged with a Bad Swing with over 600 at bats.
I am not smart enough with baseball to know what this means but Defensive players struggle against him with worst Outs Above Average OAA at -18
Found the article again and the other three or Frank Thomas, Mickey Mantel, Albert Pujols and Mike Trout
300+ BB and 300 XBH in first 600 games Alverez is The list shows him first then Ted Williams, Hank Greenberg, Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth in that order

Ashitaka explain the above to me Not sure what article you're talking about but OAA is usually measuring a defender's ability, so it's odd to use it for a hitter, not sure who wrote the article. You could make an argument that he hits the ball so well that defenders can't make plays on it I guess, but he sees some defenders more than others so I'm not sure how much stock to put in that even. |

With Arrighetti vs. Burnes if you had told me pre-game that Altvue, Bregman, Yordan, and Yainer would be 3-for-17 with no extra-base hits and just 1 RBI I'd have said we're doomed. But the law firm of Meyers, Gamel, and Whitcomb were 4-for-9 with five ribbies. Take some notes, superstars.
