Let’s keep up these winning ways! One game in Cincinnati, then a day off, followed by two more in Cincy. I say we go for another sweep!
Verlander vs. Aguiar

Get it together, JV.

I'm just going to say it... JV is our weakest starter right now.

Outside of the walkoff double, Altuve has really not looked good. We need him to start hitting ASAP.

The lack of swings and misses on Verlander’s pitches is starting to become alarming.

Espada can’t be showing favoritism with Verlander when he’s been sucking all day.

A little wild with the nerves, but good stuff from Whitley.

This umpire has been terrible. Altuve gets screwed there.

We would have won if Altuve played better defense

Even with the loss we stay 6 up. Oakland hit a walk off tank on Seattle.

We would have won if Altuve played better defense I love Altuve but he barely gets to anything on defense. Let’s be real.

Is this the correct thread to mention that Drew Gilbert has five home runs in his last 11 games?

Is this the correct thread to mention that Drew Gilbert has five home runs in his last 11 games? Probably, along with the Astros look like they will go to the playoffs for 8 straight years. And some people are impossible to please

Is this the correct thread to mention that Drew Gilbert has five home runs in his last 11 games? It is like the old saying that you don't make any shot you don't take. They took a shot on Verlander and it did not result in another championship. This year they took a shot on the k machine and we will have to wait and see how that turns out. If we win a championship it will look brilliant if we don't the trade will not age well. what is really kind of great is that they take chances some work some don't.

Is this the correct thread to mention that Drew Gilbert has five home runs in his last 11 games? He's going to be a minimum of 24 years old before he makes the majors, and currently has a .664 OPS in AAA so far. Verlander has not had a good return so far this year, but Gilbert isn't exactly impressing anybody yet. And the Verlander trade was mostly about upgrading the pitching staff for the postseason and postseason run last year. In which he combined to go 8-4 with a 3.32 ERA. The trade still helped us last year, just like the Kikuchi trade has been huge for us this year. But sure, some trades won't work out in our favor. Same with every team in the history of baseball. Some pay off and some don't.

I understand not wanting to lose potential players for later, but when you need the help you make the move and don't look back.

If you take out the defensive miscues, it's a 4-4 game....
