Starting this thread early because I will be in attendance of today’s game. Hopefully the bats stay hot. We are seeing a familiar pitcher in Eduardo Rodriguez, who a lot of our hitters have hit well. Especially Altuve, Yordan, Bregman, Tucker, and Chas.

So a bunt with Meyers would have brought in a run, and would have kept a runner on second base for the Chas groundout so we'd still have a runner in scoring position with Altuve and Yordan coming up.
They have to figure out how to maximize value out of these ABs from our garbage bottom of the order. There's no reason we shouldn't have at least one run right now by using just basic baseball strategies.

Looking better! Kikuchi battled but definitely not a great start for him. Chance to be 4-0 as an Astro though!

Really good game for a lot of guys.
1. Kikuchi 4-0 as an Astro. Couple of solo HRs but managed to keep the game going okay.
2. Pena HR #15 and almost to the 70 RBI plateau.
3. Yordan being Yordan.
4. Altuve one HR away from a 20/20 year. 15 Runs from 100. Plus back up to .300/.800.
5. Chas continuing to have better ABs with two more hits.
6. Blanco's velo was up a bit with the extra rest.

Yes they have their up and downs but right away you post crap about the team until they do something different. As a survivor of Nam I have a problem with relating to people a lot. I use to be a lot worse but my Wonderful Wife has worked on me to calm me down. I was sent to Nam to die but I screwed that up. |

I generally go with the flow of the game. Other than being harder on Altuve due to my desire to see him get his HoF due, I'm normally pretty positive overall. It just seemed like such common sense at the time. I mainly care about smallball when there’s either a RISP with no one out or when there’s a GIDP candidate at the plate with a runner at first. Also, guys like Altuve, Peña, Meyers, McCormick, and even Tucker should know how to lay down a good bunt. It should be mandatory. |

You were eager to offer Kikuchi extension after his first start. Thus, overall you’re a positive poster here. Far more than most, only less than a few. FTR - I still want to junk punch you all the times you act Altuve is not doing enough…but then I reconsider when you do the Altuve milestone updates…..let’s just I am twitchy. |

Being extremely conservative, I am betting we end the season with 88 wins. 20 games left, and we go 11-9. Our remaining opponents are (1 more vs ARI, 3 more vs OAK, 7 more vs LAA, 3 vs SEA, 3 vs SD, and 3 vs CLE). I do think we can do better than 11-9, but if we do go 11-9, then I think we still easily win the division.

Looks Like No One is going to win 100 Games this year. NY is up and down with those two hitters doesn't make sense.
I was thinking the Astros would win around 90 games after they started winning. They will not catch the two teams with 5 game advantage.
