I posted a few weeks ago that I would be banning Eddie if he came back. He’s now created a new account.

i typically do what I say I’ll do, but in our Astros family, there’s room for some magnanimity. So, I’ll leave it to you: does Autistic Eddie get to try again? Or have we seen enough?

It is my understanding that you made the effort to set up this forum for us after mlb shut down the old board and did away with all of the message boards on that site.  You and mom are the moderators so I think the decision should be yours.

I think we need to look at what your mod powers are first. Can you perma ban him? Time him out? Delete his posts? Block him from certain boards (i.e. OT, Rockets, Texans etc.). Can you fly? Do you have X-ray vision? What can mods do?

The purpose of mods is to combat things like this, and generally, bans only happen when someone violates a serious rule (i.e. child porn) or constant trolling. Anything less is generally just a mod or timeout for that user. He seems to be able to keep things on a respectful level for a time. I don't think he does what he does intentionally; it just happens normally with the way discussions go.

I know modding this place isn't your full time gig, nor is it sempersmom's, but in reality, that's what y'all are here for is to keep the bad shit in check.

When I agreed to moderate the forum, it was understood that I was not the ideal person for the job due to my lack of patience and my unwillingness to entertain fools. At that time, I said I would allow the majority to decide the fate of anyone I was considering executing.

As far as mod powers, I have the ability to do all that you listed, plus i can ban IP addresses. 

With Eddie, it's just pure trolling with the goal being to undermine the ability of others to enjoy the discussion. He did it on the old forum by reporting posts (AFTER starting the argument, usually) and getting them banned. Like I said, the dude is likely Autistic and probably shouldn't even be on the internet. When he reported a ton of posts on this forum (after starting the fight), I decided he was on his last leg. Then he acted like a twat again, but then deleted himself (2nd time) before I got around to banning him.

If all this is true then Why put the rest of us thru this again. I always think the better but lately not so much. If he already started the same troll behavior with the reporting then he has shown his true colors and really doesn't deserve a Third Chance. Third Time I am being the Fool.
