Going for a new Franchise Record.
Verlander vs Snell
I'm hoping we get to Snell early and often. The Rays would have trouble responding. While many expect a close low scoring game, I anticipate a blowout victory.

I'm expecting a low scoring game tonight. Love to see the Stros jump out to an early lead.

The Astros have 24 wins vs. “.500 or better” teams this year - the Yankees have 20, the Mariners 19, the Red Sox 14.

Separate is the name of the game right now. Keep winning during this easier schedule stretch and try to separate from the Mariners as much as possible. It would help if they started losing more.

Snell is tough, a key is capitalize on his mistakes and hope he leaves a couple pitches up.

I think the guys know they are playing for a piece of history tonight. The franchise win streak and all. The Rays aren't playing for anything more than normal -- and not to underestimate the normal drive to win for any MLB team, but Verlander and the Stros know tonight is something special, that would give them a distinction no other Astros team has had, even the WS team.
Snell is good, but
(a) Verlander is better; and (b) tonight is special and I dont' think he can overcome all that momentum.

No, I'm not grunon. I irresponsibly and lazily copied a comment from that site onto this forum while holding a couple grocery sacks in my hands. Usually I'd provide a source such as mlbtr or mlb.com. Sorry this time I didn't. And sorry to Grunon if I goofed up. I thought it was an interesting statistic though.

Plagiarism is a serious offense, Doug. It counts as academic dishonesty.

Snell may be having a good year, but Altuve, Bregman, Gattis, and Gurriel have all punished him in their few ABs against him.

Too bad it's Verlander pitching tonight against a lefty. We likely won't see Stassi in there.

should be an interesting game. Tampa always seems to rise to occasion against us.

Is the Astros.com lineup all messed up for everyone else? It shows Altuve batting 8th playing 1B, and Bregman playing 2B...

Yahoo sports has Altuve not in the lineup.
Has White playing first base.

Well, looks like Altuve gets the night off with Jake in CF........not good. Stassi is also catching Verlander.
