So today James Hoyt was placed on the DL. That could be important because to the conventional way of thinking, Hoyt was the "next man up" from Fresno in case any Astros reliever were sidelined due to injury or bad performance.
Pitchers on the 40-man (and therefore procedurally and financially easier to call up) include: Buddy Boshers, Reymin Guduan, Francis Martes, David Paulino, and Cionel Perez. Beyond those guys, there are many minor leaguers (McCurry, Nunn, Stutzman, Bailey, the list goes on and on...) who could conceivably be placed on the 40-man and then the active roster.
If I had to choose two guys currently on the 40-man to be the "next guy up" it would be Paulino and then Perez. However I am really impressed by Brendan McCurry so I hope he gets added to the 40 man soon.

Should we wait to see which one goes to the bathroom right before the first pitch?

Should we wait to see which one goes to the bathroom right before the first pitch? The last time that happened was Sipp's first year with the Stros in Oakland. He was locked in the bathroom dugout during the game.

Buddy Boshers has the funniest name. Lets go with him. That was in fact how the Astros selected relievers in the 70s when they got Mark Lemongello.

I would rather have Paulino. Hoyt has done basically nothing to keep from being released.
