That’s a pretty stout outfield at Corpus. Fresno’s pitching staff ain’t too shabby.

guys that are not top prospects who will make a big move this year in my opinion are Bielak, Dawson, and Martin, and Armenteros will have a nice impact at the major league level.

I just realized that Nick Hernandez is not listed on any of those rosters. He totally dominated at low A, A and high A ball in 2016-2017 and was promoted to AA around mid season last year. I can’t find any report of him being traded.

Jerome Solomon wrote a story on March 14th. Hernandez faced 3 batters and was pulled. Hinch said he was shaking his arm a bit and looked uncomfortable...
I don't see any follow up story...

That story is the last mention of Nick Hernandez that I can find. OP.... We usually have a sleeper out there that surprises everyone. Who do you think that might be this year?

Ronnie Dawson would be my pick. Another guy to watch could be Brandon Bailey, the kid we got from Oakland for Laureano. I’m wondering if he will turn out to be one of Luhnow’s no name gems.

Dawson was a 2nd rounder. Should't we think he will produce?

True, but with all the attention on Tucker, Whitley, Alvarez, Bukauskus, you really don’t hear much about the guy.

Abreg makes a good point. I do think Dawson is primed to have a good year in 2018, but with him being a #2 draft pick I don’t know that he could really be considered a “sleeper.” Here’s a name for you who could be considered a “sleeper” and a guy to watch this year...., Carmen Benedetti, outfielder, Corpus Christi.

still no sign of nick hernandez. no injury report, no release information, nothing. He does show on the Corpus Christi site in the news section but is not listed on the official roster.

Rosters aren't official, until tomorrow. The DL probably becomes official... Extended Spring Training too...
He is probably injured... the article said he got pulled after 3 hitters...

my bad then, I had read an article on the Fresno site that said that the roster had been set, thought it was universal.

My guess is that the rosters won't change... We will just have more info on injuries...
