Back when Gattis was traded to the Astros, many Braves fans were glad to see him go and they predicted he wouldn't last more than 2 years with the Astros. Here we are, what, into the 4th year (?) of the Astros' relationship with Gattis. I like the mountain man mystique he brings and all, but at best he's a 110 wRC+ hitter (i.e., 10% better than the average major league hitter) and a contending team should demand more from a DH. There's a substantial risk that his performance won't even rise to that level. For 2/3 of last season, Gattis was hitting south of the league average. This season, I really think that any of Davis/Reed/White/Tucker (just to name the internal options) could out-hit Gattis as DH. And then as Thomas mentions, there are external options too like Melky C. Until recently, Duda was available. Last night Davis was in a good spot to do something to give a good impression. Swinging at pitches out of the zone didn't help, just didn't seize his moment.

I saw a post from another forum calling Keuchel a bum. Lord they won the WS and he had a quality start. Relax. I’m predicting a win today.
