Glad to see him. I am torn between a couple players who should have gone down. Jake was at the top of the list along with a couple others.

It says a lot that they kept White over Marisnick. This could be their way of showing the younger Players Produce or you will be on the one way back home. Also could be their way of waking Jake up. Two times in a very short period of time is a wakeup call if you want to continue playing ball in the Majors you better figure out why you can't hit. |

I'm expecting that he becomes a solid outfield starter. It would be great if he becomes a top 20 player in the league. I expect him to be a 270 avg, 20 homers, 80 rbi type of guy. |

It says a lot that they kept White over Marisnick. Great move to bring up Tucker........DUMB move to keep White instead of Marisnick. White cannot provide defense and has not provided any offense. Jake is a great center fielder. White has seldom been used so keeping him makes no sense at all. He will probably get sent down when Correa recovers from his stiffness. |

I made the mistake of wanting Bregman sent back when he struggled at first.....I will try not to do that with Tucker. I am going to watch White very closely to see if I can agree with keeping him which I don't right now.
In my opinion, guys like White and AJ Reed are pieces we can use in trades to get players who can help us.

There are some really good pieces for a team that's rebuilding. I'm still fantasizing about Trout and, while unlikely, I do believe there is a path to a deal. We will lose good players. But if a team wants them on their team, it's easier to deal with us than compete against 28 other teams in Rule 5. |

If he makes good at bats like Bregman did then even if he does not hit or average or power he will be fine. If he looks like Santana did the first time he was called up then we will go get a bat. |

They are looking less likely to make a run this year with Seattle and Boston having a commanding lead in the WC race along with losing many key pieces at the end of the year. They went all in this year because their window to win was closing. They still have too many pieces to tear down completely, so that makes a strategic trade possible. Trade 2018, 2019 and 2020. (Trout) for runs in 2021 and beyond with a possibility as soon as 2020 if the Stros lose too many key players.
As I said, unlikely, but possible since we have many good replacement s for what they are about to lose.
