Pessimism was down today.I I think that has a lot to do with the Team getting on Base early and scoring. Hard to not to be pessimist when they wait till 7th or later to even sniff a hit and run.

The important thing is LF hitting as a team this year
.252/.328/.395
should be numbers Tucker can maintain and improve on Im more worried about Correa's health. I don't remember ever hearing just exactly what caused this back stiffness or when it occurred. I don't rememeber anything happening during a game that would have caused it. They say he is coming in each day to "get treatment".

We don’t need no stinking Realmuto! No, but I wouldn't turn down Ramos for the right deal. Who would be the primary competition for Ramos’ services? The Nationals?

Getting that hit probably made Tucker relax. Glad to see him get the hit, drive in a run with a bases loaded walk, and then score his first run all in the same game. He admitted after the game that he was a little nervous, which is very understandable. Staying up all night just to get here probably kept him from getting enough sleep. I expect him back in there tomorrow.

I don't rememeber anything happening during a game that would have caused it. They say he is coming in each day to "get treatment". His play indicates it was the beginning of June. I thought it was his wrist, then his back. But something changed about that time. He stopped reacting to pitches and started guessing. Still crazy power when he guessed right.
I checked back and see I made a post about it on May 28th.

I expect him back in there tomorrow. Not to mention Shields is crafty. Off speed mixed with sinkers and curves. Tough way to start Shields wasn't giving him fastballs to hit and Kyle went after the pitches Shields wanted him to swing at. From what AJ said in the post-game, they expect him to contribute the rest of the season. I won't be at all surprised if Kemp and White are included in a trade for relief pitching. I have no doubts that Jake was sent down to try to improve his hitting and then he will come back. I can see our 4 outfielders being Springer, Reddick, Tucker, and Marisnick. Marwin will be the roving utility guy unless his bat heats up and he had a better game today. If Bregman doesn't make the All Star team it's an injustice. I also think McHugh should go as a reliever.

Sir Squat a Lot doing his thing. People all around us were badmouthing the squatting, and he was roundly booed as he left the field.

What those folks don’t realize is that it’s actually AJ’s fault for putting him in a game that the Astros led by 4 runs. Had it been a 1 run lead and had everything in the solar system been lined up just so so, he would have done just fine.

Joke is on the bench in game #1 of Fresno’s doubleheader today. It will be interesting to see if he starts as often in AAA as he has in Houston.

The other thing I saw tonight was the fans being displeased with Marwin ambling down towards first base. Dude is risking losing his fan base by being a lazy ass. My sectioned booed him when he muffed the grounder, too.

My sectioned booed him when he muffed the grounder, too. he has been dragging his lazy ass a lot lately. I wish they would get rid of him because he is obviously not giving his best effort..........probably because they didn't re-sign him to a big contract in the off-season. His laziness is becoming a reglar occurrence.

Don’t worry about Marwin, guys. Whenever Correa comes back, he’ll be riding the bench.

By the way, I loved how Shields threw Yuli some kind of eephus pitch, which was still nailed for a homer. Nice try, buddy.

Team OPS is now up to .778, third in MLB.
Team SLG has improved by leaps and bounds the past several weeks and is now 3rd in MLB at .439.
Back in April, we were wondering if the power would ever show up. It's shown up.
