Sorry I missed your post. Great move. No problem. And you are right, a move that needed to be made. How much do you think his shout at Hinch persuaded the move? Like it might have been the last straw.

Luhnow says the behavior didn't have anything to do with it, that it was just a baseball decision...but no one believes that.

I agree. He would have been relegated to long relief, and mopping up duty in blowouts.
Instead he gets to get frisky in Fresno.

Like it might have been the last straw. Well he had to of been put on revocable waivers a few days ago so you have to believe it was something on their minds. Like maybe they identified something that he was not correcting or something. But as Bortaz says it was just not him being a jackass last night that did it, it was probably him being a jackass in general that did it.

Giles is frustrated. I understand. Giles didn't keep his cool. Can't have it.

Neither Luhnow nor Hinch would say that his actions last night played a role in him being sent down......Anyone who believes that is very gullible. His performance was bad enough to send him down, but, his mouth guaranteed it. I hope he never returns to the Astros.

I actually hope he gets his head on straight, turns it around, and we have some good trade value out of him. OTOH.... He's screwed the pooch here in Houston. There is little or no chance he ever pitches in an Astros uniform again
