Well Rasmus is skilled in hitting the MMP rafters. But I guess today the roof is open, so...

Charlie is dealing, but unfortunately this is where he usually starts to fall apart.

He finishes the 6th with 91 or 92 pitches, does he pitch the 7th?...i would think probably not, but great job Morton!

Bregs with the stellar defense tonight. Man how he has improved during last season till now. He had a lot of trouble coming in on a ball and throwing across his body, when he was first started playing the position. Now he is giving clinics over there at third.

Peacock, Rondon, and Smith have all had 3 days of no pitching activity (today would be the 4th if they don't enter the game). So I think Hinch wants to create some work for that trio regardless of how well Morton might be pitching. Tomorrow there is a good chance Verlander goes 7 or 8 innings so it's not like there will be a lot of work for the pen to do then.

I see Musgrove is on the DL with Pittsburgh.

Astros starting pitchers have now allowed just 6 ER in 30.1 IP. If my math is right that works out to a 1.78 ERA for Astros starters. Not bad.

I remember Smith pitching but not Rodon.

With the starters going deep so far this season, it is a different story over the last few seasons. It would be nice to see going into the middle of the summer without a gassed pen.

You're right. Rondon and Smith both pitched in the second game. It's Peacock who hasn't pitched since the first game. I totally mis-remembered it.

JD with another grounder. After he grounds out, he should have to do pushups

I'd like to see the Astros work over as many of these Orioles relievers as possible so that they are maximum tired when Bundy pitches in the third game. Bundy may well throw 7 innings of near-shutout ball but if there are no rested relievers around to help him, that could give the Astros a good chance to score in the late innings.

Yuli comes back tomorrow, but would like to add another bat...send Davis down, and maybe Fisher as well.
