I wish I had enjoyed the World Series more than I was stressed out during it.

Yea Baby, fired, wired, and inspired.๐๐๐ At age 66 (at the time of the 2017 World Series) and having been a fan of the Colt 45s/Astros since they came into existence, I had begun to wonder if I would ever see our guys win a World Series. I would love to see the Astros repeat, but if they donโt, I will always have 2017. What a year.

That makes 2 of us. I am also 66. Used to listen to every game and keep homemade scorebook. Saw my first Colt 45 game when I was 10. DH against LA Bums

DH against LA Bums I remember, as a kid who listened to every Colt 45/Astros game, I learned to despise Hank Aaron. Man he owned Houston pitchers. Seemed like more often than not when you heard Gene Elston say, โHank Aaron comes to bat for the Braves,โ shortly thereafter you would hear, โLong drive, deep left field,...โ Going through that experience as a kid helped to prepare me for the arrival of Albert Pujols years later.

I tend to believe that last season was so awesome that we broke the MLB forums.

So true, โHammering Hankโ feasted off of Astro pitching. Itโs amazing to me that he is not recognized as the greatest hitter of all-time. I do remember Don Wilson struck him out for the last out of one of his two no-hitters.

In all fairness to Aaron .. he feasted on every pitcher. Eventually the strategy became make sure no one's on-base when Hank steps in the box

Eventually the strategy became make sure no one's on-base when Hank steps in the box It's interesting to go back and look at how some of the all-time greats actually did in different situations. What was glamorized and what wasn't. For some of the best hitters it's always cool to see how consistent they were regardless of situation, or pitcher, or setting, etc. Now a days it seems like there are huge discrepancies with splits even with good hitters.
