too many guys are too inconsistent between games. Players like Gattis and Reddick and Marwin don't know what you're going to get game to game. I would replace Reddick first then Gattis./ Make him want to get in the game not it's a right.

Offense needs to go to work. The pitching needs help.

When was the last time we got a hit? Marwin’s single in the 5th.

Gordon throws his bat down and stays in. Go figure.

A pitcher always has to beat the runner to first. No excuse.

Tyler should have stayed at first base. Tough decision to make in that split second as the ball leaves the bat.

Tyler usually hits well when leading off an inning. This will be a chance for him to redeem himself.

I really think the 2015 Astros would be about .500 if playing 30 games against the 2018 Astros.

Amytime the Astros give Cano the chance to beat them he does........this game is over. Have a big game yesterday and then don't show up tonight. Five total hits.......three by Marwin. Gattis and Correa are a combined 7-67 unless I lost count.

This is the time of the year when winners step up and losers go in the tank. It is also when a little soreness should not keep players out of the lineup. Time for these guys to grow a pair, suck it up, and do their jobs. Time for excuses is over. Sometimes you have to play with some soreness and discomfort and we either don't have players willing to do it or a manager intent on treating them like babies.
We have a starting pitcher on the DL because he swung a bat.........we have a shortstop who was out 6 weeks with some kind of stiffness.......He is now back and ooing nothing but making errors costing us runs and doing nothing with the bat.

So much for the Astros gaining some momentum from the win in the series finale in Oakland. Back to mail-it-in mode.

this really is hard to believe. The only thing that we have to hang our collective hat on is that last August was our worst month of the year. Perhaps this year it is the same and September will find us winning 3 out of every 4. Depending on the hole we make for ourselves even that may not be enough.

Go to baseball reference. Look at the weak batting averages for the 2018 Houston Astros.
Also, the starting pitching staff is not giving 7 or 8 solid innings anymore.
Losing 9 in a row at home is inexcusable. Had a chance to bury these teams and failed.
Can they make the playoffs and what shape would they be in having to play the remainder of the schedule to even make it.

It's hard to believe we are at a point in this season where the playoffs are not sure thing. This team needs to get it together and fight for something. One World Series title does not mean you can cruise to the playoffs the following year.
