Maybe it’s time to get him pitching again? Becomes a lot more valuable as the next Ohtani. In all seriousness though, he is a LHP as well. If we can’t find a home for him on the mlb roster and if his trade value isn’t where we want, it certainly should be an avenue to explore.

Maybe the ‘stros should take a shot at making a pitcher out of him again. He pitched well enough in college to be the Friday night pitcher for Kentucky. Right now the only role he could possibly fill is DH/1B. Yuli is locked in through 2020, so forget 1B. Maybe if Reed really rakes this year and next ST and Oso falls flat on his face, he could replace Gattis as the DH next season, but that’s a big maybe.

my guess is that if he starts off the year well then we makes some adjustments and he gets at 100 abs this year to see what we have.

Reed had a poor game yesterday but I disagree that it's over for him. He could still be useful on the strong-side of the platoon as a DH/1B. Check out his ST numbers for March only, he struggled in February. Also check his second half stats at Fresno last year. I wouldn't call him a bust yet.

disappointing yes, bust nope, no way. My expectation is that he will be on the mlb roster next year.
