We've complained about a lot of players this year (as happens every year), but the player we haven't really complained about too much is Josh Reddick.
While I'm not saying we SHOULD complain about him, it's interesting that it hasn't happened much. Obviously he was due for some regression after a career year last year, but he's now currently just barely holding on to league average offensive production. Springer, Altuve, Correa, and Gurriel are all pretty significantly down from last year, but none of them as much as Reddick (131 OPS+ to 100 OPS+).
This thread is to try and wish him some good juju to get him going again. (Especially since we have him for two more years and really need him to hit at least as well as Gattis.)

I’m thinking maybe Reddick snuck a sip of Jobu’s rum to celebrate the ALDS championship last fall. He hasn't been the same since.

I'm a pretty big Reddick fan, but he kinda gets on my nerves with his acting out behavior when he messes up. Enough with yelling F-bombs and tearing up equipment 3 times a game. Kids are watching.

I don't mind players mad at themselves. I just don't like getting mad at teammates or the players that constantly show up the umpires. Umpires don't get all of it right, but at some point there's a common denominator.

He looked really scrawny in spring training.
Wonder what kind of offseason he had.
Then there was the mysterious 'a spider bit my leg' story. May well be related to his results on the field.

I think he plays to the defense too much. He tries to pull these majestic home runs, which he does on occasion, but a lot of times he ends up with weak grounders to the right side. In that close game in Oakland that they lost/won, his go-ahead single to LF was just pretty (as he did against Kimbrel in the ALDS). I’d like to see more line drives from him as he displayed last season.

He did look like he lost a little weight. His throws have also lost a little zip over the years. When he was with Oakland, our boys couldn’t even think about stretching singles into doubles.

Just leave the coaches and umpires alone. It’s why we all hated the “f—k you, man” episode with Giles.

He seems very connected to his hometown community in Georgia. I think it's near Macon somewhere.
That's probably a good thing overall, but as he gets older he might grow disinterested in playing far away from home. Maybe there is a way he can get to the Braves and finish his career there.
