“Does Tiger Woods tee off at 8 A.M. when he’s going to win a Masters? Does Floyd Mayweather fight the first fight of the night? No, he’s the main event, right? So, the ‘Stros need to be playing prime time television 7 P.M. So, we’re looking forward to playing prime time television - ALCS.”

Yeah, but countdown to Saturday with the broadcast team starts singing the high praises of the illuminati backed BoSox/NYY chosen ones. Have barf bag handy.......

If they keep winning and getting more popular, they'll get more primetime.
Have to earn the spotlight.

We get prime time games because we will be playing New York or Boston even though we deserve it anyway.

I can understand Bregman's point of view, and also that of fans whose employers wouldn't accept the Get Out of Work note posted on twitter.
But from a purely baseball standpoint, I think the afternoon start times helped the Astros against Cleveland. The Astros had played significantly better in day games than in night games all season long, so the ALDS played to an Astros strength. I'm not sure why the Astros are that way -- maybe it has to do with sleep habits, eating schedules, or perhaps even how the afternoon sun hits the batter's eye at MMP.

Against Boston, the regular season record says that the Astros have slightly better chances in night games. Boston was an incredible 36-10 in days games this year, even better than the Astros 34-17.
Against NYY, it's basically even. The Yanks were 68-42 in night games and the Astros were 69-42.
I can't remember if the 2017 WS had any day games. The Brewers were especially bad in day games this year (under .500) whereas the Dodgers were pretty good at 28-17. The "evening version" of the Brewers was especially tough to beat at 68-35.
So if the regular season is any guide to postseason advantages,
- Astros should want to face Boston and L.A. in mostly night games - Astros should want to face the Brewers in mostly day games - Against NYY, there doesn't seem to be a significant advantage either way

If they keep winning and getting more popular, they'll get more primetime. Have to earn the spotlight. I think this was a misstep by MLB to not include at least 1 prime time game. I’m thinking from a perspective of just marketing. Left coast MLB fans don’t really care about BOS-NYY until the WS. On top of that, the Astros have the kind of young, talented, brash players that resonate with youth. This BOS-NYY overhype is very much an old guard mentality. As an FYI, I’m more of an old school guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The best part was the comment about the Indians’ futility with RISP. The sound bytes with Bregman get better and better.

Until someone topples them, the Boston and NY games attract the most attention. Followed up by the Cubs and Dodgers. (Which is why I hope, if we make it to the WS, we play the Dodgers. I want the Astros to get as much national attention as possible.

Lot's of great Astros fans missed a lot of great playoff baseball due to being at work. Is that fair? For that reason to stick it to MLB and ESPN, Fox, TBS, etc.... I hope we see Milwaukee now in the WS (if we go)

I'm pulling for Brewers because I want to go to bed before 1 am during the WS.
