Offensively right now probably (especially with Kemp at DH), but that defense ain't too good.

That, or it could just be a pre-constructed excuse if he struggles. (If you believe in psychology that would, in theory, take some pressure off of him moving forward.)

until the muscle tightens up on him again and he feels discomfort swinging and missing. Speaking for myself I find it difficult to get on his case when he's got an injury like this
or get excited about what he'll be able to contribute offensively at the same time
