Springer Altuve Bregman Gurriel Gattis Marwin Correa Reddick Catcher That's what I would like to see tonight. I see you can't bring yourself to write in Maldonado at catcher, but, he'll be there. I had rather have Marwin hitting cleanup. No, junior, it's because the catcher doesn't matter since neither can hit worth shit. Might as well put a sack of potatoes back there.

That looks like Altuve still at DH with the sore knee

This is a pretty big change. When is the last time Springer didn't lead off?

Hinch changed things up: Bregman Springer Altuve Marwin Gurriel Correa Reddick Maldonado Kemp Outstanding move by Hinch. I was thinking earlier...., after I saw your post of the lineup you would like to see..., that I would like to see AJ bat Springer behind Bregman, but I was thinking more in terms of Springer in the 3 or 4 hole behind Bregman at 2 or 3. Actually, I like Bregman, Springer, Altuve, Marwin at 1-4 better. I’m thinking Cora never saw this lineup coming.

After Maldanado’s inning from hell in game #2, I am a bit surprised that AJ started him with Morton on the mound.

Altuve in more RBI situations could be good as he has certainly looked like his old self his last 5 or so ABs. I hope it pays off.

Outstanding move by Hinch. I have to look out the window for purple snowWell bear..., this is not a in-game, real-time, move by AJ. That is my primary complaint about him. This is similar to the decision he made during the WS last year to basically stop using the bullpen and go with SP’s in relief. A decision that was made between games and not a in-game decision.

Mark Carlson should be the HP umpire. Does anybody know anything about that guy?

An example was tapping Gregerson and Harris last postseason when he needed an unclean inning finished. They combined for 7.2 IP and 1 run allowed in those situations. I think AJ deserved a lot of credit for that even though the moves weren't all that splashy

I know the odds are slim, but what a story it would be if Charlie Morton came in and just flat out dominated the Boston offense? He's obviously well-rested and has had some excellent games this year. Can always hope!

i read it and knew an idiot wrote it. Guy has one bad inning and immediately it's a "meltdown' and a bad trade for the Astros.

The "sack of potatoes" that you despise has a GOLD GLOVE on his resume.....asshole. Can he use that to hit with? Because then maybe it would matter where he (or McCann) was penciled in the lineup. Devenski was an all-star last year so that means he's king kong out of the bullpen this year too, by your reasoning, right? Wake up.

After Maldanado’s inning from hell in game #2, I am a bit surprised that AJ started him with Morton on the mound. My guess it is because Morton doesn't hold runners that well and he wants Maldonado to help shut down the running game.

And Stassi has nothing to do with this postseason. We wanted the catchers hitting a combined .100 with multiple passed balls instead. You need to move on from Stassi.

On B-Ref it says that opponents have only hit .167 with a .212 OBP against Astros pitching when Carlson was the umpire. That was over four games this year.

In the history of best-of-seven series with the 2-3-2 format, teams that win Game 3 on the road to grab a 2-1 advantage have eventually gone on to take the series 27 of 36 times (75 percent).
