Catfish is the reason you can't spike the football in the endzone anymore.

Etiquette standards retribution. Doesn't have to be a HBP. Plenty of messages can be sent by a well placed inside fastball. Thuggery Sportsmanship - Upon the completion of extraordinary achievement, it's the act of performing meaningless, celebratory gestures which physically harm no one. Etiquette Standards Retribution - the act of threatening and/or causing actual physical harm to anyone who engages in Thuggery Sportsmanship. I think it's hypocritical for a person to believe in one of these, and not the other. I personally love to see both. If a player is good enough to back up what he's serving, let them. It makes for some spicy baseball. I guess each to their own. I am an old-time baseball purist, and fan for 53 years who hates seeing MLB turned into a showboating shitload of NBA type antics.

Catfish is the reason you can't spike the football in the endzone anymore. Yep...the era and influences of the Tom Landry, George Halas, and Vince Lombardi are long gone. Too bad for the NFL.

Drat! That won't play in a post.

I don't mind emotion, and I don't mind retribution. Some of the bat flips and such get annoying now and then, but not enough to determine if I want them on my team or not. Amen.

I don’t mind excitement during crucial situations in games. Pimping a leadoff homer in the regular season is a bit much for me. What about people like the dearly departed Valbuena who batflipped singles (or worse...ground outs) What about Gomez batflipping on a flyout?
