Maybe the "little Rocket Man" will convince Trump that trains are the future for travel. Hawt little AOC i Hawt little AOC? You realize with her overbite, your johnson would look like pine bark in 2 weeks?

Today's game is only being broadcast on radio, KBME 790 AM if you are in Houston.

Today's starting pitchers are Gerrit Cole and Dan Straily.
Last time Straily pitched against Houston, it was May 15, 2017. That's the game where he was no-hitting the Stros until Evan Gattis slammed a line drive into his forearm and he had to leave the game.
Straily will be glad to know El Oso Blanco is no longer part of the team.

The only Marlins I know on that lineup card are Starlin Castro and Lewis Brinson. This ought to be pretty lopsided today but you never know.

Straw would make an excellent leadoff hitter if AJ could somehow convince Springer to hit someplace else in the order.
Even with a walk or a single, he could usually get himself into scoring position.

Chad Wallach is Tim Wallach's son. Looking at his minor league stats, it looks like Chad has a ways to go in order to catch up to his dad's level of production. I hope Montreal gets a baseball team back. The Florida franchises look hard to sustain.

I figured out why they aren't televising the game.
Justin Bieber just kicked things off by butchering the National Anthem and I think AT&T didn't want to embarrass themselves by broadcasting it.

Easy first inning for Straily.
That guy consistently outperforms his projections. By most sabermetric measures, his ERA ought to be around 5.00, but he keeps it right around 3.50. Don't know how he does it.

Even with a walk or a single, he could usually get himself into scoring position. Springer shouldn't be leading off. I'm over it though. That's just how it's going to be. Altuve Bregman Brantley Springer Correa Gurriel White Chirinos/Stassi Reddick/Tucker/Straw If healthy, I would do that most days with Brantley, White, Altuve, Gurriel, and Correa rotating through DH.

I like how Reddick has been playing like his job is on the line. It is.

1-2-3 inning for Cole.
Miley is scheduled to pitch 2 innings later today.

Straily just cruised through those 2 innings. Struck out Kemp, Correa, and Reed.
He seems to have a higher gear when facing his old team, in spite of a ~89 mph fastball.

Miley's cutter looking good today, hitting about 92 and riding in on batters' hands.
Cole was only given one inning due to the expected rainout

Astros have caught the strikeout bug today. Toro, Stassi, De Goti all went down that way.
6 guys struck out the first trip through the order. ouch.

Miley gave up a walk in his second inning, but no damage done.
He did seem rather inefficient, throwing a lot of pitches outside the strike zone and going deep into counts.

Astros and Marlins are both no-hitting each other.
Read an article this off-season on spring training no-hitters. It happens.

Osuna gave up a hit but struck out Castro and Brinson.
That Brinson was tough out, must have seen 10 pitches.

Poor Reed, struck out for the second time in the game. They may just send him over to minor league camp at some point.
Marisnick and Brantley are the only Astros who haven't struck out today. Thankfully Jake just got the team's first hit.

Correa fielding error allows Tim Wallach's son to reach base with one out. Good news is that the Astros picked off Wallach's pinch runner.

Pinales gave up a walk and a stolen base, but no damage done because of picking off the runner at first.
I'd have thought the Astros would be ahead by 5 runs at this point.
Astros have struck out 10 times and it's still only the 6th inning.

Kemp walks and Straw singles him over to third. Straw had the right idea and tried to steal 2B, but got caught in a rundown

Tucker and Fisher into the game for the final innings.
How is it that every Astros hitter has struck out at least once with the sole exception of... Jake Marisnick?

The audible pop of Guduan's fastball in Stassi's glove is impressive.
That was always my favorite part of watching Ryan pitch. The way that pop would echo throughout the Dome.

Former Astros farmhand Elieser Hernandez is the Marlins pitcher in the game.
Astros lost Elieser to Miami in the Rule 5 Draft.
