If he's still standing strong on his length of contract / salary demands, I would be surprised if he is signed. The draft pick thing was a minor consideration, imho. I think the main factor with him was contract length. I think he'd be more willing now to take a lesser years but decent higher AAV contract. One would think so, but I'm not sure that's actually the case. He still has Boras as his agent, right?

Yes, but he said earlier in the season that he was open to even a one-year deal for the right AAV.

It seems like a SP would take the longest to get back into the groove of things...I know Boras said Keuchel has simulated games, but from what was posted, there will be a gap between signing and actually pitching games.

Then we find out Keuchel is considering his Play Station games as simulations

Could you imagine Keuchel playing with the Braves in the ‘90s? He’d be a god.

Could you imagine Keuchel playing with the Braves in the ‘90s? He’d be a god. Why would he be a god? Because of massive strike zones they used to have then.

Best of Luck.. but I don't mean to be a pessimist, but I don't think you'll find it in Atlanta... Even though that was my prediction where you would end up after Houston.

Good move on both ends at this point. Keuchel can possibly rebuild some value for next year while playing for a good young team. Braves improve the rotation for fairly cheap, considering.

Actually, it's 1 year, 13 mil Is that $13M for the season or prorated based on missing 2 months of the season. Bet the QO seems like a good deal to him now.

glad the Braves got a batting practice pitcher so......hopefully.....we hear no more about him. As far as the Astros are concerned...thanks for one good year, and good riddance.

Actually he was probably spending a few bucks, renting facilities and hiring catchers, etc for his sim games.

I am glad he isn't on the Astros anymore. But I think going to the National League will do him good.
