these 7pm games are on when I'm at work, so I have to watch the tape delay when I get home. It's really hard to suppress the urge to check the score during the day. Can't ruin the suspense though.

Interesting team pitching stats out today...
In terms of Expected Fielding-Independent Pitching (xFIP), which is a pretty good indicator of future ERA, the Astros are second in MLB at 3.72. Only the Rays are projected to pitch better than the Astros, at 3.63.
What stands out most to me is that all 4 of the Astros' AL West opponents are in the Bottom 7 of MLB teams by xFIP. The best of the bunch looks to be the Mariners at 4.68, and the worst would appear to be the Arlington Rangers at 5.44.
If these numbers hold up in the coming months, the Astros should have the division sewn up pretty early.

Those awesome Astros pitching projections break down to 3.76 xFIP (essentially expected future ERA) for Astros starters and 3.65 for Astros relievers.
That puts the Astros starters 3rd in MLB by xFIP behind the Rays and..... wait for it now...... the Cincy Reds.
That puts the Astros relievers 3rd in MLB by xFIP behind the Padres and Giants. Both of which teams just happen to be intriguing trade partners as we head towards July. What a coincidence.
