Gattis is amazing for his ability to make contact with balls that are way out of the strike zone. Granted, he may foul them off, but he doesn't whiff.
(Problem being, those foul balls count as strikes, so he gets into bad counts.)

Cole should be in the zone this half-inning. These guys are fresh from the minor leagues (Except for Chirinos) and didn't do especially well there.
