Do you think the writing is not living up to the hype this year? I see lots of bitching but I've thought things have been coming together very well.

GOT will have to be pretty awesome to top that I haven't seen Breaking Bad, but GoT is up there for me. The only other shows I found as compelling were Dexter and X-Files. House of Cards was okay for a while. |

I'm going to try to watch the 2 episodes I haven't watched yet, tonight or tomorrow. From what I've seen, though, I think the writing this season has been weak...and as fans have pointed out, the editing has been seriously flawed. First, you couldn't see shit during the battle of Winterfell, then they left a Starbucks cup sitting on the table in view of the camera, and now they've failed to edit out Jaime's formerly-amputated hand.

I'm just not seeing the writing being poor that people keep mentioning. They've sped things up some, but not distractingly so, imo. And I was okay with the dark episode because I feel like that's how it would have really been. The whole point of a lot of it was that it made it additionally challenging for the living.
The editing has been poor, but I didn't notice anything that was found as I was watching it real time so it didn't bother me.

Yes, I think she went out perfect, if she had to go out. Although I would have preferred to keep her over Brienne. More of the fighters should have died that episode. At least Podrick.

I'd have kept Theon and murdered the crow boy, Bran. I mean, you sit there in your wicker chair with the ability to warg into theoretically any beast...and you choose to warg into a crow and accomplish nothing? Loser. |

It was a missed opportunity to not have him warg into Ghost and see the battle through a different perspective. Especially the initial charge by the Dothraki. I watched a little of Criminal Minds but even that show is to PC mostly now. Every show has to have in a lead ROLE a PC person. And most are making White People as Evil or stupid specially Commercials.

I don't know about any hidden social or political agenda. To me it's about a balance between family, integrity, and cunning wrapped into a story that is a mix of fantasy medieval politics, sword fights, and a little bit of magic and prophecy.

You're right, GRRM made his money....the show was a hit....it basically finished what he was too lazy/contempt to do. |

Like usual you guys have to attack personnel instead of allowing a different opinion. You guys are getting as Bad as Liberals against the Right. I went probably 20 years without watching any TV. A football Game or Baseball game. Now the PC has ruined Football and haven't watched that for 3 Years. Never has been my thing to sit in front of the Boob Tube. I would rather Read, though I do watch some movies with my Wife or Son. Mostly my Son as he wants to take him to ones My wife will not watch.
