He likes to blow people away with fastballs, but I think that’s partly because his offspeead isn’t that amazing. The thing that keeps him from being an ace on the level of Scherzer or even Verlander are these meltdown innings. |

It’s also interesting that the so-called aggressive baserunners have not tried advancing bases and allowed themselves a GITP and 3 GIDP’s. The triple play could’ve been avoided if Jake knew how to drop down a bunt.
