The only reason we're still in this series is stupid Ranger errors. They remind me of the 2009 Astros right now

The called strike on the fifth ball the Jake was way out should have been a walk

The bad calls by the ump in the 10th kind of soften the blow on this one. But still, 4 baserunners in the 9th and 10th innings combined and can't score a single one... yikes

Jake and Fisher have mastered the K. Maybe a trip to Fresno would help.

I thought that in the 9th inning, Springer should have tried to steal second given that Chirinos' elbow was banged up and it would have made it harder for him to make a good throw to 2nd. If the Astros score in that inning, it's game over.

And I didn't agree with Rondon pitching the 10th. McHugh was much better rested and has pitched great out of the pen this year.

What happened to Doug, did he fall asleep. No, the AStros just seemed like they hit better when I'm not commenting on the forum.

Oh sweet Gattis my favorite Astro Hinch could have pinch hit Stassi or Gattis there. I'd take the guy with the .300 average over the guy with the .200 average, given the choice. Not like there's a speed difference.

I feel like Lou Brown in Major League 2. This team has completely lost its focus

Dough, I don't think you the reason they aren't hitting. I really do think the WS jinx has hit them and they aren't doing anything to break it. Look over half the offense is hitting under .225 or worse. this keeps up it will take till the All-Star game for the team to break .260 avg.

I’m not sure that winning this game would have been the best thing for the team. Losing two out of three at home to the Rangers may be the wake up call the team needs. These guys don’t need to think they can continue to win at a .667 rate with the half ass approach to hitting they have shown so far.

It may actually have been better if Colon had pitched the no-hitter; makes the wake-up call that much louder.

I suppose one silver lining on this type of head-scratcher (only 3 hits all night) is that it might help to force Luhnow's hand in calling up some of the AAA talent that can spark the offense. Mainly Ted Tucker and Tyler White at this point.

McHugh would hve been a good choice, but, I was also afraid he would ise Giles. I can't blame the pitching for this loss. Verlander goes 8 and gives up one run on one hit and K's eleven while we can't hit a 44 year old who is throwing in the 80's. This loss is on the hitters. I doubt if we see Tucker until June, but, he will be here at that time if this offense is still struggling.

These guys don’t need to think they can continue to win at a .667 rate with the half ass approach to hitting they have shown so far. Problem is most of them or Half-ass hitters anyway. Gattis can't hit unless he is catching saw that last year. Jake and Marwin is all that needs to be said. The one I really am disappointed in is Springer since that Opening HR he has been dead at the plate. Same with McCann his bat is useless right now Seems like the only thing Altuve can hit is singles lately. World Series Jinx with the win going to their heads. Need to pull out of their rear end and see what the heck is going on. They haven't been this far behind in standing since early last year.

If the bats don't wake up in Seattle, we will lose that series.

Can only imagine what Jimbo's saying right now. I wonder if he's at the game I wonder the name Jimbo would have called Rondon in that situation. Hector un-done

The one I really am disappointed in is Springer since that Opening HR he has been dead at the plate. It's like Bobby Rayburn in The Fan. This season is like some weird, clichéd baseball move almost I don't like to put all the blame on one guy, but Springer's the problem here. The Cubs had the same funk last year out the leadoff spot after they lost Fowler

WE have nothing on our bench. Luhnow has work to do.

WE have nothing on our bench. Luhnow has work to do. We need him to work his magic as usual and somehow turn Marisnick, and Fisher into a closer & a bat. He can do it!

It will be no picnic for the offense tonight facing Paxton. That's true and I feel like last year we didn't fair well against Paxton. Keuchel didn't pitch particularly well against the Mariners either.

everything is running backwards right now from what it should be so maybe Kuechel pitches a gem and Paxton lays an egg
