Stubbs hasn't been any better than Stassi so far. They each have a 26 OPS+. But one has good metrics defensively and no options. It will be a no-brainer of who to keep unless Stubbs starts hitting better. Otherwise they're not going to give up catching depth. Stubbs I bet you has a low babip right now... he's faster and I think has a better arm... I think he has a brighter future, but if he doesn't outperform Stassi and Stubb's has options, who do you think is going to be demoted? |

No, Hinch tried to rest the bullpen some more by giving a young guy some work. With a 9.5 game lead there is no reason to use our best relievers when we're down by 4 runs. |
