Stubbs hasn't been any better than Stassi so far. They each have a 26 OPS+. But one has good metrics defensively and no options. It will be a no-brainer of who to keep unless Stubbs starts hitting better. Otherwise they're not going to give up catching depth. Stubbs I bet you has a low babip right now... he's faster and I think has a better arm... I think he has a brighter future, but if he doesn't outperform Stassi and Stubb's has options, who do you think is going to be demoted?

Cionel Pérez is kind of overrated.

I know what the score is, but I think Hinch did him a little dirty leaving him in like that.

Maybe it’s good that he’s still out there. He needs to learn how to get major league outs.

We're getting beat like a drum. That's what we get for wearing powder blue...
I can't take it anymore. I'll pretend it didn't happen.

I’m glad Bregman drew a walk so Stubbs could bat with the bases loaded.

I’m glad Bregman drew a walk so Stubbs could bat with the bases loaded. Maybe if Stubbs hadn't swung at bad pitches (unlike Bregman) he would have walked and brought in a run.

I hate games when they just go through the motions.......Peacock sucked today so Hinch decided to mail the game in and let Perez throw BP.

No, Hinch tried to rest the bullpen some more by giving a young guy some work. With a 9.5 game lead there is no reason to use our best relievers when we're down by 4 runs.

I guess he built Perez's confidence by letting him get hammered for 7 runs by a horseshit offense.

Lack of playing through adversity leads to the types of millennials we all hate. If he makes better pitches, he won't get hammered

Astros hitting to 3 DP's doesn't help either. Can't blame this on a couple of the offensive guys. This was an all-around sleepwalk.
