At least Altuve hit it to the outfield. It's an odd year for him. He normally tends to get some extra hits from bloopers and such, and he continues to not have much success with that. The power looks decent and his walk rate is good. He just has to find a way to get some more hits mixed in. |

I thought the offense was in line for a big day today. Hopefully they show up tomorrow. The team gets mentally defeated when a pitcher has a bad game. When they’re down by 3 runs or more, it’s almost like a forgone conclusion that they’ll lose. Despite the overall record, the comeback ability seems lacking. It’s also hard to come back when you can’t string together some hits. |
