They both suck tremendously, but it seems kind of unfair for Stassi because he plays so infrequently that it's not a surprise he can't hit ML pitching. He'd probably still suck even if he played full time, but eh... Look at you being all Todd and sticking up for Stassi. Don't get me wrong...I would have defenistrated him out onto Crawford st. long ago. I just think he deserves a bit of consideration d/t his lack of playing time. Of course, the lack of playing time is because he sucks, so...he can gtfo. |

If Stassi didn't have very good defensive value and be virtually league minimum salary-wise, I would be more upset.

Right now, they’ve got the arguably better hitting catcher in Chirinos looking like Ausmus on a bad day and a defense first catcher who hits like a pitcher. They’re really getting zero offense from the position. As much as all of us downplay the bottom of the order, we can’t forget how instrumental McCann was in their championship run. He had some really clutch hits AND could get outs at home plate. |

Check the stats............Jake is hitting .260 with an OPS of .800 with 8 homers, 25 runs batted in, and 8 steals. Your boy Stassi is hitting .165 with an OPS of .457 with one home run and 3 runs batted in So you admit that you made that post without knowing what you are talking about.  Those who rate duds like Stassi, White, and Kemp as being equal to or better than Jake show bow little they know.  |
