65-37 .637 winning percentage (On pace for 103 Wins) 1st in the AL West (7.5 games) 2nd in the AL (.5 games back) 3rd in MLB (2 games back) 3rd in Run Differential (+117) Team ERA+: 118 Team OPS+: 117
Fiers vs. Miley
They look great right now. Hopefully they can beat up on their old teammate and give Miley plenty of run support. Law of averages would say that Miley is due for a clunker....but hopefully not.

Fiers’s old fly ball self better hope the Astros hit them to center field.

Yeah, it could be a big HR day again. I predict a big game for Bregman for some reason.

I know his numbers with RISP have been pretty poor this year, but he's still having an excellent overall season. And he's still been pretty good in some tough situations: 2/Outs RISP: .992 OPS Tie Games: .968 OPS And he's better when we're losing than when we're winning, which is important. .956 OPS vs. .900 OPS Essentially, he is at his worst when there are RISP but we're winning. I think it comes back to him trying too hard to be "the guy" especially when we're already winning and he probably pressures himself to do his part.

If you pressure yourself to be "the guy", and it damages your production, yet you keep doing it...does that make you a dumb ass?

His numbers are great, but he needs to get it together with RISP. Walks are nice but they didn’t give him big money to be a leadoff hitter; they based it on his lethal hitting last season. Again, I like his numbers. He just needs to step it up with RISP is all.

Those RISP plate appearances are less than a quarter of his total plate appearances.

Most of the hitable pitches have been early in the count and he's watching them go by.

I know 50 doubles is extremely hard to replicate, but that solid contact was what made him a more destructive hitter.

Not surprised. Something definitely seemed wrong. At ;east they didn't bring Guduan back. I expected Stassi to rest Chirinos tonight. We can get ready for his usual 0-4 and getting called out on strikes.

Two nice generous strike calls Miley got with third batter.
Ump has a wide strike zone.
