HITTERS H-AB RBI HR SB AVG
G. Springer CF 82-277 56 22 5 .296 J. Altuve 2B 75-268 36 14 4 .280 A. Bregman 3B 94-357 63 26 4 .263 M. Brantley LF 124-376 55 15 3 .330 Y. Alvarez DH 40-122 35 11 0 .328 Y. Gurriel 1B 112-381 65 20 3 .294 J. Reddick RF 97-344 35 10 4 .282 R. Chirinos C 56-245 40 12 0 .229 M. Straw SS 20-76 4 0 7 .263
I kind of would have liked to see Straw in the OF with Diaz at 1B and Gurriel at 3B for the finale, but this is a good lineup.

Great lineup but I see Marisnick not in CF as usual when Verlander pitches which is OK. The three we have out there are good. Maybe this is the day Bregman stops being a negative in the third spot in the order and Altuve has a game without the brain cramps he had last night.

Lol, I wish I had a loyal uncle like you, Corch. I have no problem with this lineup. Now, if leg humper had been in the OF I would not like it....he is weak at any position.

Interestingly, defensively he is considered generally above-average this year. Despite his offensive struggles, his WAR is virtually the same as last year because of the fact that his defense has supposedly been better. Course, it's a pretty erratic and small sample size to tell a whole lot.

I just noticed that Kemp is only 2 years younger than Altuve. It's easy to forget how long Altuve has been in the league.

Springer struck out on ball 4 trying to send it to the Grand Canyon.

I'm trying to follow along on my phone. Did Altuve really just look at three strikes in a row?

Bregman is headed for the .250’s.

So Springer swings at ball four and strikes out, Altuve looks at three strikes in a row and never takes the bat off his shoulder, and Bregman never gets close to making contact. All after we make two errors to allow a run in the first inning.
I guess we didn't feel like playing today.

Defense makes two errors to donate them a run and then our top three hitters all K.......not a good start. Altuve's bat never left his shoulder.

So next AB, Altuve will swing at the first pitch no matter where it is.

Wow, when is the last time our top-5 all struckout to start a game, let alone in a row period...?
