Osuna is no Billy Wagner. Never has been. Yeah, he typically is prone to his share of blown saves. Team control and his age were the reasons why he’s a promising addition. I think his best role may be setup man. |

Osuna gave up hard contact but got the save.He has been off lately.......I am with you on needing to get another reliever in addition tp a starter.....Bregman and Reddick both need a rest. Great job by Verlamder. Harris and Pressly both solid.
I doubt if any thought is being given to moving Osuna out of the closer role.

What a difference a day makes. Division lead returns to 7.5.
1. JV moves to 13-4 and lowers his ERA to 2.86.
2. The bullpen mostly looks good again.
3. Altuve has another great day (including good defense) and raises his line to .287/.342/.511. Still not where he can be, but getting into the "very good" range now.
4. Chirinos continues his recent mini-tear to get him back on track.
5. And we win despite our 3-4-5-6-7 hitters only going 1-17 with 6 Ks.

He needs to get it together. He potentially is their best hitter but can’t escape his sputtering offense. He still hasn’t really put it together like last year. Bregman needs to have a conversation with Carlos Beltran |

I was talking about in his career. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying stop making him the closer. Where were you when he set a record for saves to start the season? He was doing fantastically then, but now he’s sputtering. Once again, he should stay at closer because Pressly is great in his role. Another reliever added to the bullpen wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s not of the same priority as the rotation. |

What is scary is this offense fall off the wall and disappears. One thing that I am worried about is How will our offense show up when playing the Yankee's. They have gone almost 180 games straight without being shut out.
