Seems every year the umps get worse. Not really. Maddox is case in point. Had all the umpires calling Strikes on rep only for years. Maddux was consistent though and could paint the edges. By worse I mean the umps have no rhyme or reason to their strike zones. One game the ump will call the high strike. The next game their strike zone changes and they will call the low strike but not the high. |
