The Astrodome is such a big part of Houston history. I will never understand why anyone wants it torn down. I go at it with my son about this.

Raze and tear down 35 years of Astros history? Then add the Riggs- King match, the epic UH/UCLA battle, and others...... It would be a crying shame, to see 100's upon 100's a fond baseball game memories destroyed.
My vehicle could almost auto-drive home ...Kirby- > 610

Make it a museum for Houston and/or Houston Sports. You can then use it for conferences and such as well. Hell, put some hotel rooms and a couple restaurants inside with trendy people hyping it up.
