The Astros went 11-17 in August in 2017. After obtaining Verlander on August 31, the team went 20-8 in September. The team got a similar boost with the acquisition of Greinke on July 31 this year, but that boost has worn out now and we still have a month and a half left in the regular season. This team won’t likely lose 17 games in August this year, but they may not play .500 ball the rest of the season at the rate they are going. Right now it looks like Oakland wants it much more than the Astros. Astros seem content to just mail it in right now.

Team looks listless I have been preaching that for well over a week and all I get everything will be OK. So they come out of it this time but come October they go into another not showing up and playing lifeless they will go home in the 5 game series. |

I've only been half ass watching. Which is about how the Astros are playing. Altuve 2-14 in the series now. Devo and Armenteros were awful.
Meh. Looks like our lead will be down to 5.5 games after Sunday.

Crane has provided the resources that allowed Luhnow to do his job. Hinch has made some questionable moves and none moves, but the responsibility for the teams’ current slide rests solely with the players. Right now they are not giving their best effort. |

This is a rough road trip even though there were some easier teams in it. They really need a day off to regroup and get their heads right.
They'll have to settle for ZG tomorrow hopefully doing what we got him to do.

The Astros are playing like losers right now. When they get the hitting they don’t get the pitching. When they get the pitching they don’t get the hitting. They are finding a way to lose, regardless of how good or bad the opposing team is. |

No more brutal than most of the others who haven't done a damn thing to help win games this week. No more brutal than the crap we have seen from Correa the last two games. What is brutal is for Hinch to keep using horse shit pitchers like Devenski. |

True, but we have had a lot of 0-4's and 0-5's on this trip.. Lots of guys lose balls in the sun, and yesk that was brutal but no more brutal than watching Horse shit Devenski suck and blow any chance we had of coming back. |
