When the offense produces TWO runs in 13 innins, don't blame the the pitching staff including tbe pen. The winning run was allowed by a guy who was the last resort and should not be on the team in the first place. Melvin allowed relievers to go over one inning and they won tbe game. As usual, Hinch treats our relievers with kid gloves limiting them to one inning no matter what their pitch count happened to be. The A's hit behind baserunners amd used the buntk, both of which seem to be unheard of by the Astros. We had rather hit into DP's to kill an inning than to take a pitch or bunt. We have one guy who is so wise that when we have the lead run on second base with two out he chooses to bunt instead of trying to get a base hit that would break the tie. Tbis is the same guy wbo has killed the first inning for us two nights in a row by grounding into DP's on the first pitch he sees after the leadoff man has reached base...........Pitching didn't cost us the game, a pitiful performance by the offense has to assume the blame for the loss. Verlander was excellent except for allowing two more home runs. All relievers did their jobs with the exception of Sneed, who had no business having to pitch.

I can't wait to see what happens if Springer reaches first base to open the game........If Altuve swings at the first pitch it is proof that he is stupid.

I come back to this board and the Astros immediately go on a 19 to 5 run (including the double header this week). I do other things for the past 3 days and suddenly they are 0-3. I can't do everything around here people, someone has to step up while I'm not posting for them to win

Another crazy state. We have not had a starting pitcher lose a game since Urquidy on July 31st and that's the only time since the All-star break (31 games)
