Bochy blew the save basically. Too many pitching changes against the Sox.

Giants pulled it out. Red Sox magic number of elimination down to 3. Tampa Bay’s WC2 lead over Cleveland is 0.5 games.

If it wasn't such a full league of good rookies, Mike might be a ROY winner. Age 28 finally made hsi debut. 7 seasons in the minors with an OPS of .782 and never hitting more than 15 HRs in a season, and now as a rookie in the big leagues he has an .839 OPS and 20 HRs.

Through luck, Boston held on yesterday against San Francisco to win 5-4 on a bases loaded strikeout of Longoria on a payoff pitch in the dirt. Their elimination number is 1. Tampa Bay and Cleveland both have to go winless while Boston has to go undefeated in order for the defending champions to go back to the postseason.

Indians won today against the Phillies, 5-2. Thus, the Red Sox are eliminated from postseason eligibility.
Have a nice day.
