So what do people think about the new netting at MMP?
So far I've mostly heard negative reviews on the view behind the net.

It will require some adjustment of the camera angles. One angle is obstructed by the primary support wire from which the netting hangs. But adjustments can be made.
Safety First since people no longer pay attention to the game while they're at the game. Between cell phones, venders and sheer stupidity, it's now too dangerous.

In my youth, a person being hit by a baseball was a huge rarity, because any time a ball headed to the stands (circa the '60's), 7 or 8 over eager boys would be climbing over each other to grab the ball. Back in the day, 80% of us carried our mitt to the game. Look around nowadays..... 5-10% maybe?

Then, their toddler who has no business being in such dangerous seats gets smashed in the head by a line drive, and it’s the team’s fault somehow.

Gloves should be required to enter a stadium. As a photographer the netting is a piece of shit

Safety is great, obviously, but people come to these pretty expensive events in order to watch, be entertained, and maybe even interact with a little if they're lucky, without impeded views. The risks are addressed before every game. I've taken my daughter to several games, and we always pay attention when balls are in play. Even if we didn't have a kid we'd pay attention. If you're not going to watch the game, that's on you.
Somebody pointed out somewhere that more people get injured from falling out of the bleachers. Why aren't we putting up higher walls and windows?

And as long as there are dumb fans at the game I can complain about netting that obstructs my view of it. If I can catch a foul ball with one hand on my camera switching back and forth to my beer then there's not excuse.

I agree. Backs are being injured by sitting in those hard seats. They need to put tempur pedic in there. Also, please make the urinals more private as my ego is fragile

If anything, I think we should all pee in a giant hole in the floor. There would be some type of scoreboard and the heaviest flow or longest duration of stream, etc. would win. I haven't thought of a good prize yet.

These rules are all about saving the fans from themselves. They never learn. These are the same people who try to get in the way of the home team’s outfielder in order to catch a foul ball or home run.

Or maybe it's a bar I'm remembering

Now, are drones with cameras considered in play?

F'n drones. Love seeing these obtrusive pieces of garbage crash.

Luckily I don't live in Houston and have to worry about that as of yet. But I'm sure the entire league will adopt this soon
