My favorite exchange between Fred and Aunt Esther: Aunt Esther: “Fred Sanford! You ain’t nuthin but a messy fool!” Fred: “and you ain’t nuthin but a cessy pool!” I liked the time Esther told Fred there was a book in the Bible named for her and Fred told her that Samson slew the Phillistine with her jawbone. If you recall, Fred did not like Lamont’s friend Julio. Another exchange I remember from Sanford and Son: Julio: “Buenos dias Mr Sanford.” Fred: “Yeh. Beans and disease to you too.”

One of the funniest movies ever was Harlem Nights. What a great cast. Redd Foxx, Della Reese, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jasmine Guy, ... Quick: Vera, put that razor away! [pulls gun] Quick: I ain't playing games no more. You put that f***ing razor away or I'll blow your goddamn pinky toe off! Vera: Oh! Now you're going to shoot me in my pinky toe. Quick: I'm not playing with you. I will blow that little black, gnarled crusty, dead motherf***er the f*** off your foot! Now put the razor away!

None stop, hilarious, dialogue from start to finish.

The most encouraging thing about yesterday was our boys Brantley and Bregman crushing inside pitches for home runs. Too often our offense is eaten alive that way. It’s good to see those adjustments.
