I was looking at the Leaders in Offense and Yordan was listed even on OPS is that because he doesn't have enough at bats?

If anybody here says they expected us to win 15-1 and have an umpire with rabbit ears eject Verlander they are lying.  I said Yordan would hit a home run off Morton. He didn't get one off Charlie but he hit two for the game. I sure didn't expect to get six off Charlie and knock him out of the game after four innings. |

He didn't get one off Charlie but he hit two for the game. I sure didn't expect to get six off Charlie and knock him out of the game after four innings. I fully expect us to win 10-0 tomorrow with Cole going the distance. Straw gets the 4 inning save with his Devo strut.

Well we won a lopsided one! This game all but proved Yordan should be ROY and more then likely knocked Morton out of the Cy race. It’s between JV and Cole, with JV currently in the lead.

Just a couple of observations of the moment.....
The mighty M's aren't doing us any favors, down 6-0 to the Stanks in the 5th. Looks like homefield is going to be a dog fight to the end.
I understand JV is an intense fierce competitor, but arguing a close call up 9-0?, come on, not necessary. Antic's up there with AJ challenging a call on the game we won 23-2 earlier in the month.

At this given moment I'd say 60% chance it's his. The front runner was probably TB Rays Brandon Lowe, but his season is finished with an injury. If Jordan keeps his pace I like his odds. |

We could go all conspracy theory on this, and sumise that this was MLB payback for his little stunt with the press last week. Not that i believe that, but I would almost bet that things like that filter down the system. |

I still believe the ump was quick on the hook, but JV also took it too far with such a huge lead. The only justification I can see for it is if he was really trying to defend Altuve as he mentioned.

It is a learning experience for the rookie. You can have your own strike zone within limits, but it needs to be consistant so both pitchers and hitters can adjust.
